Forklift Training:
· Review forklift operation safety guidelines and procedures per OSHA guidelines.
· Conduct pre-operation equipment inspection.
· Practice safe lifting, stacking, and transporting of loads
· Discuss hazard awareness and accident prevention
· Explain emergency procedures and reporting protocols
· Must complete a practical assessment and pass, before, the hands on forklift obstacle course training.
· Demonstrate proper starting, stopping, and maneuvering technique.
· Once the class and driving are completed safely; you, the student, will be issued a forklift certification card. Card will be valid for 3 years from the date of class.

Required Components of Training
OSHA mandates a three‑part training program:
- Formal Instruction
- Classroom, online modules, videos, written materials.
- Must cover truck‑specific and workplace‑specific topics (controls, stability, visibility, refueling/charging, hazards).
- Practical Training
- Demonstrations by trainer and hands‑on exercises by trainee.
- Must be conducted in person; online‑only training is not compliant.
- Workplace Performance Evaluation
- Employer must evaluate operator competence in the actual work environment before independent operation.
- Evaluation required at least once every 3 years.
